Liss is the author of dozens of children's books and one play. She lives in the West Sussex countryside, near a wonderful bluebell wood owned by the National Trust.



Holly started writing while working as a children’s book editor. She lives in Berkshire with her husband, sons and cats, and is the author of numerous best-selling books.



Candy Gourlay is a Filipino author based in London. Her debut novel Tall Story won the Crystal Kite Prize for Europe and the National Book Award in the Philippines. It was nominated for the Carnegie Medal and shortlisted for 13 prizes including the Blue Peter, the Waterstones Prize and the Branford Boase. When she’s not blogging, Candy loves taking photographs and making videos.



Swapna Haddow lives in London with her karate-chopping, swash-buckling son (his words not hers), her thirty-something, age-sensitive husband and Gary the hamster. She spends her time writing, eating cake and making sure her son doesn't flatten her husband as he attempts to master his human cannonball trick. Sometimes she does all three at the same time.



Sita was born in Derby in 1966 to an Indian doctor from Kolkata and an English nurse from the Lake District. She has a BA in English Literature and an MA in Arts Education. Her many projects and writing commissions have been produced in theatres, universities, schools and community groups throughout Britain and America. Sita lives and works in North London with her husband, three children and their dog, Billie.



Michael lives in London and has written more than 30 books for children, as well as illustrating and painting in his spare time. His picture book SCAREDY CAT AND BOO was nominated for the Kate Greenaway medal, and his young fiction series THE UNBELIEVABLE ADVENTURES OF JAKE CAKE was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and the Nottingham Children’s Book Award.



Katy was born in the United Arab Emirates, grew up in North Wales and now lives in Royston, Hertfordshire with her family. Her YA debut, LOVE, LIES AND LEMON PIES, has been published in eight languages. She also writes adult romance novels under a pseudonym.



Jeanne is an internationally acclaimed children’s author, having won the Red House Children’s Book Award and the Nestle Children’s Book Prize. She lives in London with her family.



Leila started writing when she was thirteen, but has worked many jobs, including: administrative assistant for a children's literacy charity, children's bookseller in Waterstone's, Brussels, and is now writing tutor. She was brought up in Libya and since then has travelled all over the place, spending several years living in Brussels, and time living in Italy.
