Erich Maria Remarque's anti-war novel All Quiet on the Western Front and the repercussions of its first publication in 1928 are a subject of major interest – especially in the year 2014, the centenary year of the outbreak of World War One. In addition, the volume contains the first study of Remarque's relationship with the psycho-analyst Karen Horney. It is rounded off with a detailed documentation of new Remarque editions.



Dr. Thomas F. Schneider ist Privatdozent für Neuere Deutsche Literatur an der Universität Osnabrück und leitete bis Ende 2022 dort das Erich Maria Remarque-Friedenszentrum.
