Hannes Androsch does not confine his efforts to diagnosing thestatus quo. Hannes Androsch was born in Vienna in 1938. He served as finance minister and vice chancellor in the Kreisky administration. He was General director of the Austrian bank, Creditanstalt, and is now a successful industrialist. In accordance with his own sense of responsibility, he participates as a committed citizen in a wide range of activities.

He is much in demand as a commentator on current affairs and as an author and editor of numerous publications..
